There's much change, but little hope

  • Follow Letters

Although he was truthful about being the most pro-death presidential candidate in history, Barack Obama already has surpassed Bill Clinton's record of lies.

Belatedly, many of his supporters, black and white, now realize that they should have waited for a black American citizen of good moral character with a solid sense of history to run for president -- one who believes in and would preserve the family (marriage of one man and one woman), our traditions, private property rights and the sanctity of life. These are essential pillars of a civilized free society.

Ideology is not about race. Everyone should regularly read the columns by black writers such as Star Parker, Walter Williams and Thomas Sowell, who genuinely love America and who believe that sound ideology chooses good vs. evil; natural law vs. moral relativism; freedom vs. slavery, a.k.a. free-market capitalism vs. fascism, socialism and Marxism; national survival and sovereignty vs. globalism and one-world government. America is being systematically and ruthlessly destroyed by Emperor Obama and his Ivy League accomplices.

Obama's promotion of class envy and hatred, a la Bill Ayers, to advance his totalitarian quest is shameful. I agree with the criticism of excessive spending under George W. Bush and his opening of the bailout door, but Obama's reckless spending and borrowing -- essentially printing devalued dollars -- will cause inflation more disastrous than Jimmy Carter's. Unless you missed Economics 101, you know that inflation is the cruelest, most regressive "tax" that disproportionately injures the poor.

Will our people, like those in Germany who were mesmerized by the silver-tongued Adolf Hitler, continue to march like lemmings in slavish, adoring lockstep while our Constitution, economy and personal liberty are thrown into the oven? Or will they seek constructive change and restore real hope by tossing Obama and his comrades out in 2010 and 2012?

Paul W. Rosenthal

At this point we can only hope and pray that there's enough left of our Constitution and nation to salvage two and four years from now.

Well said, Mr Rosenthal.

Well said, Mr Rosenthal. Unfortunately, I believe your letter is probably above the comprehension level of many of President Obama's stalwart supporters.

While Obama may be at the top

While Obama may be at the top of the list of those who should go, he has lots of company on both sides of the aisle. Unfortunately, most Americans will find even less popular the president who has to tighten the government belt to repair what has been done. Tough times are ahead and I'm not sure most of us have the stomach for it.

Damn right. Better oil up

Damn right. Better oil up your sport utility rifles (aka: assualt rifles); fuel up your 5 ton, 4x4, [never] off the road sport utility vehicles; and bust out those MRE's you bought for Y2K. We have a constitution to defend folks! Oh, wait, never mind. There's only a bit of it left from the beating it got from the last administration. Better just bring the first aid kit instead.

Another BLOOMING IDIOT to

Another BLOOMING IDIOT to feed the CI. Dude, you need to go read some books and get an education. That's it, AC. Keep printing the letters of the knee-jerk morons while the visitors are in town. I guess really intelligent people have quit reading this sorry excuse of a newspaper, anyway, and won't write in. God, what an idiot you are, letter writer. Guess what? You dipsheets are gonna lose even more in 2010 and 2012. Even the great state of Georgia will see the light soon. Have you noticed how the miscreants in charge of the state government have done such a stellar job? Just say you're sorry to the rest of us for being so stupid and go learn something.

We are so proud of what our

We are so proud of what our new president is doing to straighten up the economic mess left by GW. It will take a real Tiger Woods in the white house who will work 24/7 to do the job. Cheney has chewed up the constitution. Mr. President Obama is regaing respect for our beloved country with other nations. He has a hard job but so far he seems up to the task. Look like poor little ellie mae Palin has thrown her maybe future son-in-law under the bus. Oh well, she used him well when it was political to do so, now she wants nothing to do with him. Maybe the marrage will be on again when she runs again. Talking about a flip-flooper. Well, all I have this morning is HELLO! HELLO!

Justus must be out of town!

Justus must be out of town! Lobo and Jack are typical examples of the normal liberal who, lacking anything of substance to say, has to resort to name calling and scourging the character of those who disagree with their position. So sad!

Jack, you didn't expect Bristol Palin to stay with that boy, did you? Her mother is the governor and he's a high school country Alaskan Bush kid with a troubled family? Their relationship had ZERO chance of survival.

Strange how we hear no

Strange how we hear no defense and comments about what a great job prezbho, his policies and his administration are doing from the dim followers. Just the usual rhetoric with absolutely no substance. When will we hear the positives (with FACTS) of this administration and how they are solving the problems? The dims continue to be the best comedy show in town.

God what a sorry loser

God what a sorry loser Rosenthal is. Chew on this idiot, President Obama's approval ratings are in the high 60's. Expect those numbers to be in the 70's by the end of the week after his stellar performance in Europe and with the troops in Iraq. Democrats' approval is nearly 90%, Independents at 60%, and sorry whining loser RepubliCONS like Rosenthal disapprove nearly 70%. In typical fashion it is only moderate Republicans approving at 27%. Even after a very questionable election in 2000 Democrats approval of w was in the mid to high 30s. Democratic approval of Reagan and Bush I was in the 40's. More Democrats give the newly elected opposition party President a chance than due radical right wing nut jobs like Rosenthal. Just like they did during President Clinton's two terms, they whine and stomp their feet when they did not get their way on election day and repeat the screed they hear on fox and rush ad nauseam. You CONServatives had your chance and you screwed up royally. There are fewer and fewer of you left (Thank God). Do the rest of us all a favor and use those guns you've been stock piling and put yourself out of misery... tea bag yourself first.

Again, please tell us what

Again, please tell us what great policies prezbho and his administration has completed for our country. presbho continues to campaign for his next election while getting nothing of substance from his overseas trip. All this while the dow continues to drop, unemploymenet increases and our economy continues to tank. prezbho is completely clueless about how to handle the crisis and continues his jaunts to get that adoration he thinks he needs so much. This trip was completely about prezbho, his arrogance and nothing else. We must remember that prezbho has to ask his teleprompter what to say when he gets into difficult situation. How about substance with FACTS - rather than the same-o rhetoric with the name calling.

dims continue to be the best

dims continue to be the best comedy show in town. Does anyone else notice that they have not come up with anything of substance that prezbho and his administration has done? They continue to call names and attack the messengers that disagree with their leaders policies, while giving only rhetoric without substance. dims continue to prove the point that there are none so blind as those that will not see.

Chris232- I'm with you- Obama

Chris232- I'm with you- Obama has been President for what, 68 days- and these people are just not giving him a break! They will defend Bush & Cheney (Frik & Frak) for every wrong they did for the entire 8 years he was in. Die hard repiblicans- will vote for ANYONE republican. Look what they had to choose from: a dottery old man way out of touch with the average American and a true lip stick wearing pig who knows he child is having sex, touts abstinence, doesn't provide her child with birth control, she is an idiot.
