BLYTHE, Ga. - Ronald Louis Verkey, 62, entered into rest Sunday, April 5, 2009, at MCG. A Private family memorial service will be held at a later date and time. Survivors include his son, Rocky Verkey of Winnie, TX; sister, Doniese Ivey of Augusta; brothers, Harvey Barker and Bruce Barker both of Augusta and Howard Barker of Crosby, TX, and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Verkey was born in Augusta to the late Louis and Mary Stallings Verkey. He was a retired self-employed carpenter and a Marine Corp Vietnam veteran.
