True love, Demetrius. I think you may have shown her who the boss is.
Firefighters work to eliminate burning coal
Firefighters stood watch Monday over coal smoldering at a power plant in Aiken County, according to South Carolina Electric & Gas Co.
As a precautionary measure, SCEStation; only smoldering in the coal bunker, a contained storage unit made of steel and concrete. Occasional hot spots were being doused and monitored around the clock.
Smoldering coal in the bunker is not unusual, and smoldering issues are typically resolved as coal is moved from the bunker to a boiler to help generate electricity. However, an operating unit at Urquhart has been offline for about 10 weeks for maintenance.
The Beech Island department has called on firefighters from neighboring communities to assist it so that firefighters can work in shifts until the fire has been extinguished.
House, car peppered with several gunshots
An Augusta home was peppered with gunfire Monday morning, according to a Richmond County Sheriff's Office report.
A man and woman were inside the Jackson Street residence when they heard gunshots about 2:30 a.m., the report said. Two bullets were found lodged in a hallway wall, and the rear window of a car at the residence was shot out.
Deputies found 18 .380-caliber shell casings at the scene, the report said.
Man accused of firing into woman's vehicle
A Lawrenceville, Ga., man was arrested and accused of firing several shots into a woman's car, according to Richmond County sheriff's reports.
Demetrius Archie Lovett, 21, was charged with criminal damage to property in the second degree, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, jail records said.
On Sunday, he and Gina Michelle Telfair got into an argument because she was talking on the phone at her Floyd Street residence, a police report said.
Mr. Lovett went outside and fired several rounds into her 1994 Buick LeSabre. He then took off on a bicycle.
True love, Demetrius. I think you may have shown her who the boss is.
"Mr. Lovett went outside and fired several rounds into her 1994 Buick LeSabre. He then took off on a bicycle." I guess he showed her. - LOL -
Did the Buick die? oh i feel so sad for the family..
"Mr. Lovett went outside and fired several rounds into her 1994 Buick LeSabre. He then took off on a bicycle"............uhhhh can we say LOSER!
He should have shot his bike and taken the Buick.
I don't believe in gun control, but it's getting time to make it extremely difficult to obtain a firearm.
Swampghost, I seriously doubt Demetrius went through the proper way to recieve his gun.
He probably didn't have a gun permit anyway.....gun control doesn't affect the criminal element.
Yo man what you in here fo? Man day said I capped a buick and tried to sky up on a bike aint that sume ****
At least he went outside and shot the car instead of hurting someone.
That's only because they couldn't park it in the living room. It wouldn't fit through the door!
and the article about the house/car peppered with gunfire. . . is so unfinished. Was everyone Ok? Do they have any suspects? I would assume it was more than one gun/person involved since 18 casings were found.Who is running around here shooting up peoples cars/homes?
LMOA, yall are too funny!
Chey, Karma answered you last question.....LOSERS!
PHISH that was great and thanks for the laugh. LOLOLOLOLOLO
Jackson Street. Off Lumpkin Road, between Richmond Hill Road and Peach Orchard Road. I checked my notes and the gunshots I heard were about the same time of morning, but not Monday morning. If I were the police I would check out those guys that were "just shooting off guns to look cool", sounds more like they were checking their weapons and practicing to me.
ROTFLMAO, He shot up her car, and rode off on a bicycle. LOL
Y'all crooks be careful! Mrs Kravitz is on duty with her notebook!
That is not MY neighborhood PTHS. But it could be yours or mine if we're not proactive. An article was in the hardcopy of the Augusta Chronicle but not online the other day, couldn't find it again, but this one is nearly the same, by the same writer: http://savannahnow.com/node/701605/print
We're going to be in the same boat, if we don't keep the hammer down.
BTW PTHS, wasn't it you that told me you heard the report about the shots on the scanner?
Here it is: "baroness - Anytime! And nobody/nothing was hit with those gunshots last night. I was listening to the scanner, just punks messing around shooting in the air to be cool.

What can we do about these Lawrenceville, Ga. bicycle terrorists shooting up our citizens' property and then wheelin' off?
Make em go through immigration, since they aren't from Mexico, they won't be able to get in!
Thanks folks -- needed a good laugh today! Poor Buick -- have to watch for the obit. :o) Maybe there will be a bicycle procession for it.
I'm in shock! Crime and problems occuring during Masters Week! Wow!
I am not surprised by the crime, but I am surprised it was reported during Master's Week! Gosh, our shine just got a little tarnished.....what is funny to me is that people think that the out of town visitors want to move here. Get a clue, they don't! This town is a dump for 51 weeks of the year.
You probably had to hunt for it in the paper! And only locals know to look at Across the Area first to find the dirt!
You won't see a bank robbing story, or something big like that this week!
I can hear it now:"Get off that damn phone before I go outside and shoot your car." It's like my grandpa always told me, if you ain't a big boy, don't go playin' where the big boys play.Sounds like a little stupidity was involved here also.
One other thing, if this guy was from out of town, and he had to leave the scene of the crime on a bicycle, how did he get here in the first place? Lawrenceville to Augusta is a long ride on a bicycle!
Maybe she was on the "Car phone"?
