AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Essie Mae Taylor entered into rest on Wednesday, April 1, 2009, at University Hospital after a brief illness. She was employed by Armed Forces Exchange Services at Fort Gordon. Essie leaves cherished memories to her husband; Fred Lee Taylor; children, Barbara (Steven) Hansford, Beverly (Louis) Oliver, Anthony Allen Sr., and Robin (Larry) Miller; step-children, Freddy Hill, Ronald Taylor, Christopher (Peaches) Taylor, Margorie Taylor, and Robert (Jackie) Taylor; eighteen grandchildren, eight step- grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, three step-great-grandchildren; mother, Mrs. Carrie Mae Green; brother, Henry Lee (Mary) Green Jr.; sister, Doretha Taylor, and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, April 6, 2009, at First Metropolitan Baptist Church, 3719 Belair Road, with Pastor Enoch Ward presiding and Reverend Lewis Toles officiating. Interment will be in Lizzie Bloomer Baptist Church Cemetery in Hawkinsville, Ga.
