SYLVANIA, Ga. - Mrs. Billie Newton Lariscy, 80, of Sylvania, died Thursday morning at her residence. Mrs. Lariscy was born in Screven County to James Robin and Willie Shell Draughon Newton. She was a Registered Nurse and homemaker. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Ellis Miller Sunday School Class. Survivors include her loving husband, Willard Hill Lariscy, Jr.; three daughters and sons-in-law, Brooke L. and Gary Lawn, of Charlotte, N.C., Molly L. and Tommy Banks, of Waynesboro, Lea Anne L. and Guy Greene, of Sylvania; a son and daughter-in-law, Willard H., III and Holly Lariscy, of Decatur; a sister, Martha N.Howard; grandchildren, Kate Banks, Dru G. and Macay McBride, Ashley S. and Ryan Firebaugh, Elizabeth B. and Michael Knight, Griffen Greene, Brandon and Lee Ellen Lawn, Kendall Lawn, Hannah Lariscy, Madeline Lariscy; and six great grandchildren. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at Joiner Anderson Funeral Home Screven Chapel. Funeral services will be Saturday, April 4, 2009 at 3:00pm at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Mike Benson officiating. Interment will follow at Screven County Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Griffen Greene, Macay McBride, Ryan Firebaugh, Michael Knight, Danny Smith and Robin Howard. Honorary pallbearers will be Pat and Bill Lord, Wilkes Williams, Roland and Reba Stubbs, Mack and Jackie Scott, Louis and Virginia Scott, John and Libba Mills, Cheri and David Hinson, Harry and Barbara Bailey, William and Florrie Wells and Ginny Chadwick.
