FAIRBURN, Ga. - Mrs. Mary Alice Cosby, of Kennedy Drive, entered into rest Sunday, March 26, 2009 at the Unity Healthcare Acute Care, Fairburn, Ga. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 4, 2009 at 3 p.m. at Miles Memorial C.M.E. Church with Pastor Johnny Brown officiating. Burial will be in Southview Cemetery. She was a native of Richmond County, Ga., employed with the Richmond Co. Board of Education, a retiree of the University Hospital, and a member of Jones Chapel A.M.E. Church, Blythe, Ga. Survivors are her husband, Euster Cosby, III, Augusta; daughter, Gwendolyn (Richard Harris) Quinn, Jonesboro, Ga.; stepdaughter, Katherine Cosby, Augusta; mother, Lillie Mae Hobbs, Augusta; brother, Williams F. Hobbs, Augusta; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.
