Green car subsidy is a contradiction

  • Follow Letters

The Obama administration and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi have stated that they want to raise taxes on those Americans who make more than $250,000 a year.

Also, the new Tesla all-electric sports car was unveiled recently. With a federal tax credit of $7,500, because it is a battery-powered car, the cost of the Tesla Model S is $49,900.

Do you think the $7,500 subsidy will go to the hard-working middle class or to the "rich?" Does anyone else see a contradiction with the Democrats' stated policy?

And life continues, Chuck. The Dems shtick is appearance, not results. The easily tricked and misinformed love that stuff. (see last election results)

Let's ask a question that the greenies never ask. How much will it cost to replace that battery when it dies (and batteries do die). How much to get rid of it once dead? A plain battery is hard enough to get rid of legally.\ when they die.
