If he was traveling 520 E I can see how this happened. People are always flying down the left lane then trying to cut everyone off at the last second to exit at Windsor springs. This won't be the last accident at that location.
Harlem man sought in robbery, kidnapping
Authorities searched Saturday for a Harlem man accused of kidnapping and armed robbery.
Police said Christopher Grier, of 700 block of Knox Road, was suspected in an armed robbery Friday in Grovetown and in the kidnapping of his girlfriend and their 7-month-old son.
The Columbia County Sheriff's Office issued an Amber Alert for Mr. Grier's girlfriend, 27-year-old Shashawna Odell, of Grovetown, and their son, Christopher "C.J." Grier.
They were last seen in a gray Dodge Neon with a paper tag reading "Auto Credit Sales and Rental" heading west on Interstate 20.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Grovetown Department of Public Safety at (706) 863-1222 or the Columbia County Sheriff's Office at (706) 541-2800.
26-year-old dies in car wreck on Bobby Jones
A car crash on Bobby Jones Expressway killed a 26-year-old man Saturday. His name was not released until his family could be notified. The driver lost control of an Oldsmobile Alero while trying to exit at Windsor Spring Road, said Richmond County Deputy Coroner Mark Bowen.
If he was traveling 520 E I can see how this happened. People are always flying down the left lane then trying to cut everyone off at the last second to exit at Windsor springs. This won't be the last accident at that location.
kamikaze driving will lead to deaths on a regular basis, even with seat belts.
I pray Ms Odell and her son will be found soon and stay safe.
One careless driver and now we are going to have a rash of accidents there! NOT! That exit has not proven fatal as the intersection under the Bobby Jones Bridge at crossing. Please don't make us all sound reckless because of one's mistake!
Trust me, that isn't the first accident there. I have seen many skid marks at that exit that keep going straight off of the road.
I have seen the painted lines many of times where either Richmond County Deputies or Georgia State Troopers have had to put down to investigate the accident.
People just don't know how to slow down enough to get around that sharp curve.
I live in Athens and I havent seen this amber alert, I hope they are found safe.
Bored - you may not be reckless but I can attest to seeing hundreds of reckless people waiting until the absolute last moment to exit at Windsor Springs, usually from the left hand lane and many almost taking my vehicle with them on one last terrifying ride. Fortunately for those dangerous drivers I like to be wreck-less and try to avoid hitting them. This isn't the only exit like that, but to say that particular exit isn't dangerous is both ignorant and foolhardy.
sorry to say this will not be the last fatal accident there. as long as idiot drivers speed and cut you off at the last minute at that exit there will be more
GNX, exactly; the exit isn't dangerous it's the people exiting.

AC is dragging. What is wrong they can't report the news? 2 people were shot this morning in a house off Sibley Road near Gordon Highway. A man and a woman. A teenage girl is in custody, and more arrests expected.
Skeleton crew on weekends......maybe folks forget all the people that are being let go from the paper. Can't be laying off people and expect the same type of coverage. Besides, the only thing that is ever updated in a timely fashion on weekends in this paper is sports.
