GROVETOWN, Ga. - Mrs. Betty Frances Newman, 71, wife of the late Willie A. Newman, entered into rest on Thursday, March 26, 2009. Graveside services will be held 3:00PM Saturday, March 28, 2009, in the Old Union Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Tony Henderson officiating. Mrs. Newman, a native of Augusta, Ga., was a retired Para Pro for North Columbia Elementary School. She was a member of Old Union Baptist Church and the Missions Disaster Relief. Survivors include four sons, Bobby (Faye) Newman, W.A. Newman, Len Newman of Grovetown, and Roy (Michelle) Newman, Martinez; three daughters, Denise (Bobby) Barnes, Augusta, Tammy LaBoude, Toccoa, and Melody (George) Ashmen, Martinez; three brothers, Johnny Pierce, Elliott Pierce, of Florida, and Freddie Pierce, Blythe; one sister Ceceil Newman, Evans; 18 grandchildren and 15great-grandchildren.
