WAYNESBORO, Ga. - Nell Daniel Byne, wife of the late Edmund Gordon Byne, wenthome to be with her Saviour Jesus Christ, Thursday, March 26, 2009, at her residence in Waynesboro. A memorial service will be held at the First Baptist Church of Waynesboro this Saturday, March 28, 2009, at 5:00 P.M. with J. Miller Byne, III and William G. Gustafson speaking. Mrs. Byne, a native of Richmond County, was the daughter of the late Raleigh Hightower and Nell Nolan Daniel. She was in fellowship with the Burke Haven Chapel, She also taught the Nell Byne Bible Class in her home, and her heart was in ministry with young Christian women. She also taught art and china painting for sixty years. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Elizabeth Daniel Wiggins and Clayton Daniel Jordan. Survivors include her sons and their wives, Edmund G. Byne and Barbara McGlothlin Byne of Waynesboro and Richard Heggie Byne and Linda Lawrence Byne also of Waynesboro; daughter and her husband, Marynell Byne Parker and Terry Parker of North Augusta; brother Thomas Richard Daniel of Augusta; sister, Ann Daniel McKnight of Augusta; grandchildren, Katherine B. DeLaigle, Edmund G. Byne, III, Mary E. Kimbrough, Emily L. Kimbrough, Nathaniel B. Kimbrough, Helen D. Byne, Rebecca J. Byne, Lawrence A. Byne and Lynn M. Byne. Pallbearers will be her nephews.
