NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. - Mr. John L. Stribling, 88, of Buena Vista Ave., entered into rest March 23, 2009 at University Hospital. Mr. Stribling, a native of Wilkes County, was a member of New Ford Baptist Church. Survivors include seven children, John L. (Darcey) Stribling, Hephzibah, Carrie Smith, Dalton, Ill., Barbara (Vernal, Sr.) Murry, Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., Christine Stribling-Williams, Belvedere, S.C., Marion (Loretta) Stribling, Milledgeville, Ga., Everlyne Brown, North Augusta, and Frank (Lillie) Stribling, Augusta; a devoted cousin, Bertha Singleton, Augusta; nineteen grandchildren, thirty-one great- grandchildren, eight great- great- grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Friends may call at the residence of Everlyne Brown, 512 Carolyn Circle, North Augusta. The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, March 28, 2009 at North Augusta Baptist Church with the Rev. James White officiating. Interment will be in New Ford Baptist Church Cemetery, Danburg, Ga. G. L. Brightharp & Sons Mortuary, 614 West Avenue, North Augusta, S.C. (803) 279-0026.
