NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. - Mr. John L. Stribling, 88, of Buena Vista Ave., entered into rest March 23, 2009 at University Hospital. Mr. Stribling, a native of Wilkes County, was a member of New Ford Baptist Church. Survivors include seven children, John L. (Darcey) Stribling, Hephzibah, Carrie Smith, Dalton, Ill., Barbara (Vernal, Sr.) Murry, Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., Christine Stribling-Williams, Belvedere, S.C., Marion (Loretta) Stribling, Milledgeville, Ga., Everlyne Brown, North Augusta, and Frank (Lillie) Stribling, Augusta; a devoted cousin, Bertha Singleton, Augusta; nineteen grandchildren, thirty-one great- grandchildren, eight great- great- grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Friends may call at the residence of Everlyne Brown, 512 Carolyn Circle, North Augusta. The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, March 28, 2009 at North Augusta Baptist Church with the Rev. James White officiating.
