The Augusta National Golf Club and its owners should step up with the cash to return the Georgia Golf Hall of Fame and Gardens to its former beautiful status.
Buy it, take over its care -- whatever it takes, put those legendary golfers' statues back where they belong. They belong here in Augusta. Give the people who spend big money to come to the Masters Tournament something else golf-related to enjoy besides the traffic. This is a no-brainer. The garden and the statues should have never been let go in the first place.
The National owners need to be big boys and do the right thing for its faithful patrons and for this city -- now.

The National didn't want anything to do with the Hall of Fame from the beginning, why would they want to fool with it now?
Axe the gardens and place the statues at the Augusta Regional Airport. Leave the ANGC out of it. They are a class act and are wise to stay away from such a political hot potato.
Drove past the gardens this morning, they look horrible! Nothing says "Welcome Masters Guests" like weeds growing everywhere. Augusta shines again!
I lived within walking distance of the gardens for several years, and took my dogs there almost daily. During that entire time, I hardly saw another soul in those gardens, yet when pet owners who lived downtown wanted a small space for an off-leash park, miraculously, all the supporters opened their whining mouths. The gardens, if you could ever even call it that, was and is a disaster, and should stay just as it is, along with that horrible springfield park across the street, to remind everyone of irresponsible spending and the idiots that run our government.
Laurie Morris joins the long chorus line of people who have nothing better to do than to tell other people what to do with other people's property. It is the OWNER of the real estate and the statues that needs to make the decision. And don't forget that doing nothing is a decision.
LittleLamb--if doing nothing is a decision, then I must take back everything I've said about the commissioners. They have made lot's of decisions....doing nothing.
They are more interested in buying up homes and businesses and turning them in to one-week-a-year parking lots.
