DEARING, Ga. - Mrs. Barbara D. Shelton, 76, widow of Mr. Henry Shelton, of Dearing, died Saturday, March 21, 2009, at the McDuffie Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m., Tuesday, March 24, in the Macedonia United Methodist Church with Rev. David Sisler officiating. Burial will be in Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Shelton was a native of McDuffie Co. She was a homemaker and a seamstress. She was a member of Dearing Baptist Church. Survivors include her three sons, Mike Shelton, Dearing, Wayne Shelton, Dearing, and Steve Shelton, Thomson; her three sisters, Mary Frances Hyman, Cadley; Doris Reese, Phyllis Shedd, both of Thomson; her two brothers, Wendell Davis, Phil Davis, both of Thomson; her grandchildren, Christen Shelton, Harley Shelton, Olivia Shelton and Ethan Shelton. Pallbearers will be Ronnie Johnson, Kenneth Huff, Jeff Shelton, Tommy Shelton, Nick Davis, and David Huff. Friends may call at the residence of Mike Shelton or at the Curtis Funeral Home.
