Obama's presidency is disastrous

  • Follow Letters

In two short months, Barry Soetoro, a.k.a. Barack Obama, and this Congress are proving to be beyond inept, extremely arrogant, tyrannical, unqualified and unprepared -- and, in so doing, have made Jimmy Carter appear as though he was in total control and knew exactly what he was doing. You wanted change? You got it. By the way, how's it working for you?

We were promised a drastic reduction in earmarks/pork. That was a lie. In the, ahem, stimulus plan, there were 8,000-plus such goodies. Obama never vetoed as president what he condemned as a candidate. In fact, he addressed Congress and boasted that there were no earmarks, which made even Democrats who voted for it chuckle.

We were promised an ethical Cabinet free of lobbyist influence. That was a lie. What was nominated were tax cheats with strong lobbyist ties. If Obama had a clue, he would know that Question One, perhaps Question Two, of the vetting process is: Are your taxes up to date?

The Democrats sent hundreds of billions of our dollars to the Wall Street wealthy. During the campaign, Obama pledged to focus on Main Street. What a detour. The Democrats, Obama and the media chastised Republicans for not standing behind the 1,087-page stimulus plan not read by a soul.

Now, well, oops. The architects of Fannie Mae's failure, Chris Dodd and Barney Frank, are screaming that they want AIG bonus money back that was paid for with bailout bucks. They put the bonus provision in there. Obama signed it into law. It's too late! ...

This president and Congress ran up a trillion-dollar-plus deficit inside of two months. They promised change, and delivered with more to follow unless we can stop them in 2010 and 2012. The media goose-stepped behind the hope-change-Obama hype without questioning a thing, and is still marching behind the least qualified and unprepared president in American history who truthfully has no clue.

Lee, Obama's mamma's

Lee, Obama's mamma's propensity for international love aside, your first paragraph says it all, so far. We all pray American survives O's growth into the job. If Americans care about their country, he'll not have control of congress after 2010. This crazy experiment needs to end.

Careful, Lee...liberals don't like anything as painful as the facts thrown at them. It hurts their head to think too much. They'd rather "feel your pain." Truth is, most of them are your pain. Welcome to the "change" you voted for America!

President Barack Obama's

President Barack Obama's budget would produce $9.3 trillion in deficits over the next decade, more than four times the deficits of Republican George W. Bush's presidency, congressional auditors said Friday.

Think for just a moment. How can one possibly accurately attempt to critique the administarion in less than 100 days? Any attempt is completely dishonest. Starting from there, the administration was left with a total mess. To not admit that would be a lie, but some folks don't have a problem doing just that. This letter is an example.

Obama's intent is to bring this country to it's knees. He and his wife believe that the United States of America needs to be punished for it's past sins and is/will show us what that means. He will try very hard to make it as tough on the have's and very easy for the have not's. He will honestly try to make the rich poor and the poor rich.

It is time to protect your

It is time to protect your financial situation. This period of deflation and downturn may have years to go with short periods of better times. Houses could drop in value over 50% during this period. People are being careful and saving a little money which helps them but hurts the economy. We probably have what Japan has gone through. I predict a serious recession for this country with un-employment reaching at least 15% and the rest of the world even in a depression. The rest of the world is much worst off and hoping we will pull them out. If you need to make money in the market just do the opposite of the crowd and the headlines.

Apex have you been smoking

Apex have you been smoking the socks you wore last week? Do you really believe that? Do you think for one moment that the Clintons, the Kennedys, the Bidens, etc would have backed Obama if that were true? Bush and Cheney are laughing all the way to the bank. They are the ones who took our money and allowed Wall Street and the Banks to bilk us! Don't think for one moment that they aren't connected. Past sins? From your attitude, those sins aren't so far in the past are they?

The clintons, kennedys and the bidens back anyone that is a dim. b o, dodd and frank get the most money from fm/fm and it's the repub that are bad. geithner and the b o administration know about the AIG benefits to employees and it's the repub that are bad. bo and his administration make a 600 page billion dollar plan (that has the AIG benefits included) that no one has time to read and then vote for it and it's the repub that are bad. By the way all but 3 repubs voted against this spending spree. b o says he wants a trillion here and a trillion there, which ups our debt, and it's the repub that are bad. All this and more in the first 50 days of this corrupt administration. The blind and gullible dims want us to give this inept and clueless prez time. Could it be that some are having buyers remorse?

ok converted...now how about

ok converted...now how about a list of the wrongs of Bush and Cheney. Let's be fair on this forum. Can you say that each and every thing they did was right and correct? Can you say that there was no pork in their administration? Can you say that the GOP senators and reps have put absolutely no pork in the current stimulus package? Back up those questions with fact, and then point the finger at the current administration. I didn't start this tit for tat, so I'm from Missouri, "Show me".

Obama is kind of like the guy

Obama is kind of like the guy who recently got engaged to a divorced woman. The woman said she had some "outstanding debt" from her last marriage because her ex was a big gambler and did things behind her back. He agrees and they get married. Then the guy finds out that he has to not only pay her debt, but her whole family's debt AND the ex-husband's debt AND his whole family, PLUS their future debt, PLUS all of debt of the ex's first, second and third cousins. Meantime, the ex and his lover have a big stash in several banks around the world. To be continued....

Unfortunately, I believe our country\people will have to suffer the consequences of both Obama & the democratic congressional stronghold in order to learn a severe lesson. The fact is our young generation has never experienced hard times & thus really do not know what hard times really are. Plus, the majority of our colleges and schools do not teach the historical truth; the liberal instructors & the revised history books influence beliefs that are destructive and unrealistic. Things are going to go much further downhill & democrats will continue to blame others (Bush) while everyone's freedoms continue being stripped away and our pocketbooks become smaller. These folks currently in power are going to make the Carter administration look good. Eventually though, Reagan economics combined with the Fair Tax can turn all this around once the folks finally come to their senses after suffering long enough; prepare for the long ride down first though!

Funny, Bush started his

Funny, Bush started his presidency with a recession from Clinton and then within months as a new prez 9/11 happens. So now he is blamed for everything from the economy to terrorism. Now Obama steps in and starts his presidency with a recession from Bush but now everybody still blames Bush. Something really illogical about that. Now of course "terrorism" has become extinct under the Obama administration-well at least the word. Muck Fe. I find it incredulous those who ranted against Bush now blindly and inanely support Obama for doing the same. Their logic is it is all still Bush's fault so no matter what Obama does Bush gets the blame so will he get the credit if things turn for the better? The man must be a god.

Obama has lied to the American people from the day nearly three years ago when he started his campaign. I am really enjoying the tax cuts for all Americans who earn less the $250k. His plan now is to let the Bush tax cuts expire and give us $13 per week. I have news for him and the rest of the DEMS-That's no tax cut. Liar, Liar pants on fire!

Uhh, ACTUALLY, the number of

Uhh, ACTUALLY, the number of earmarks (and the money for them) IS greatly reduced from the prior budget, and if any of you knew enough about the political process you'd know this year's budget has more to do with money already spent in the past 12 months than it does money spent in the coming 12 months. Your "earmark" argument needs to be shelved until his NEXT budget is introduced. You are, though, whining about LESS than 2% of the entire budget, though, and if he'd vetoed the bill and shut the government down, the PARROT PatriciaTHomas types would be deriding Obama because of that, as well.

Ah Bizarro....no facts

Ah Bizarro....no facts please. It confuses the sheeple. They don't understand that Bush inherited a recession too and the 14000 mark on the DOW during his administration doesn't mean anything to them because they did not have any money invested. They were too busy spending there welfare checks and 7-11 stick up money on crack cocaine and rims for their ghetto glider. And they certainly do not care about their president proposing a budget that will drive the deficit to near the 10 TRILLION dollar mark in ten years. Since they don't work they have no idea about how the economy works and they truely think it is no problem because the guv'ment can just print some more dollars. The only thing they understand about the money supply is can they get a nickel bag or a dime bag. And Obama has managed to propose all of this spending in only 3 months. Imagine how much more welfare spending will be inacted in the next 3 years and 9 months. Obama and the Dems make Bush and the Repubs look like penny pinching mizers. And if you look at the spending, there is no stimulus there. It is mostly welfare and social engineering programs. Not roads, not bridges, not jobs. It's free medical, free, free....

In Bush's last budget, by the

In Bush's last budget, by the way, there 11,524 earmarks, worth over $16.5 BILLION, so to be fair, Obama's first budget shows a CUT in earmarks - a step in the right direction. Of course, within his first 60 days in office, you repub parrots expect him to have completely changed the way Washington works. Ridiculous. Oh, and since you right wing war-hawks tend to flock together, 603 earmarks in the budget were worh nearly $6 BILLION of that total.

WOW! You guys really give

WOW! You guys really give President Obama a lot of credit. You mean to tell me in two months, 60 freaking days, this guy has done all these terrible things? WOW, what a powerful man. He has written laws, passed bills, spend monies all by him self. Oops, I forgot his wife had a hand in this mess also. How quickly we forget. He did not create this mess, it was an idiots like you guys! Aaaaaaaaah, I think it was George H. W. Bush or George W. Bush (one in the same) and Dick Cheney, but I could be wrong. How can you idiots expect President Obama, or any else for that matter, to accomplish anything positive in 60 daybeing handed a mess of this size. McCain/Palin is what you rednecks wanted, someone who thinks like youand Sara and her crowd. Well, good luck in 2010 because for now you are stuck with President and Mrs. Obama. I plan to enjoy the ride; yes I said enjoy because nothing can be as bad as the past three years!
