THOMSON, Ga. - Mrs. Betty McCorkle, 74, died Tuesday, March 17, 2009, in the Thomson Manor Nursing Facility. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, March 20, in the Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens with Rev. Kenneth Garvin officiating. Mrs. McCorkle was a native of Warren County, but had lived in Thomson for many years. She was a Homemaker and a Methodist. Survivors include her two sons, Roy McCorkle, Dearing and Ricky McCorkle, Thomson; her three sisters, Louise Harris and Tholene McTier, both of Thomson and Annie Raburn, Dearing; 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Friends may call at the residence of Ricky McCorkle, Gingerhill Estates Rd. or at the Curtis Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday night at the funeral home.
