NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. - Funeral services for Mrs. Charlotte Parker Lowe, beloved wife of the late Mr. Earl Rogers Lowe, of Country Club Hills Drive, North Augusta, SC, who entered into rest March 16, 2009, will be conducted Thursday afternoon at 3 o'clock from the Posey Funeral Chapel. Dr. James C. Adams and Dr. T. Joseph Lusk officiating. Interment in Pineview Memorial Park. Charlotte was born March 22, 1920 in Benham, Kentucky to Charles Cleveland and Hattie Lee Neal Parker. A graduate of North Augusta High School, she made North Augusta her home for the past seventy-one years. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church where she was a Charter Member of the Stillwell Sunday School Class. Charlotte was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary of the Jesse C. Lynch Memorial Post #71 for sixty two years, the Daughters of the American Revolution, Martintown Road Chapter and a Charter Member of the Data Processing Management Association, CSRA Chapter. She was trained in IBM wiring at the Pentagon, Washington, DC and began her career at the Augusta Arsenal as an IBM machine operator and shift manager. Charlotte continued her career in the fields of accounting and data processing. She retired in 1976 from Jones and Fellers, Architects, Engineers & Planners, Inc. where she was manager of the Fiscal Department and assistant to the General Manager. Charlotte and Rogers were married for sixty-two years and her favorite past time was preparing wonderful meals for family gatherings. Nannie, as she was known to many, is survived by her beloved daughter and son-in-law, Joyce Ann & Otto Frei, North Augusta; four grandchildren and their spouses, Kimberlyn & Herbie Padgett, Shannon & Robert Maddox, Rhonda & Kevin Baker and Brad Frei; eight great grandchildren, Tyler Padgett, Kristyn Padgett, Olivia Maddox, Jess Maddox, Adam Baker, April Baker, Amber Baker and Emily Frei; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Hazel & Donald Whitley, Charlotte, NC, and June Parker Lowe, Nashville, TN; a brother and a sister-in-law, Charles Neal & Betty Parker, Jacksonville, Fl; several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Herbie Padgett, Dr. Robert Maddox, Jr., Kevin Baker, Tyler Padgett, Jess Maddox and Adam Baker. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday afternoon from 1 o'clock until the hour of the service. The family will be at the residence.
