THOMSON, Ga. - Mrs. Ruby J. Carder, 85, widow of Mr. Roy Carder, of Thomson, died Sunday, March 15, 2009, at her residence. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 18, in the Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens, with Dr. Jim Ramsey officiating. Mrs. Carder was a native of Elberton Ga., but had lived in Thomson for many years. She was a retired Bank Teller and a former Restaurant owner. She was a member of Thomson First Baptist Church. Survivors include her two daughters, Mrs. Beth Baggett, Thomson and Mrs. Connie B. Owens, Cumming; 9 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Friends may call at the residence of Jerry and Beth Baggett, Huntington Dr., or at the Curtis Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday night at the funeral home.
