Akerman, 99, wife of the late George Akerman, died Sunday, March 15, 2009 Funeral services will be held 3:00PM Wednesday, March 18, 2009, at Silver Run Baptist Church with the Revs. Jerry Pitman and John McMillan officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. She will lie in state one hour prior to the service. Pallbearers will be grandsons, John Smith, Darrell Ferraro, David Smith, Chris Godwin, Russell Ferraro and Scott Godwin.
