Beatles tribute band was excellent

I had the pleasure of attending the fourth show by Ed Turner and No. 9 benefiting the CSRA Humane Society on March 14 at the Fort Discovery Theatre. Simply put: Wow!

These musicians not only are among the most talented in Southeast, but they have an extreme sense of community, and have displayed their commitment by raising more than $85,000 for CSRA charities in the past four years. Augusta should be proud of Ed Turner and No. 9; we are fortunate to have such a caring group of talented musicians in our city. Listening to tunes of rock 'n' roll's finest, the Beatles, to benefit displaced and homeless animals? You can't beat that.

Thank you, No. 9. I look forward to the next show in August at the Imperial Theatre. Do yourself a favor and see this band.

Amen Tim! Absolutely great show and the Fort Discovery Theater was a super venue. What a wonderful way to spend the evening. Ed and No. 9 rocked the house!

I went and again was amazed that, even with requests that were sent well in advance to the concert that " Free Bird " was not played. I'll keep going, and enjoying, but Hey Mr. Turner play a song for me that jingle jangles, Free Bird!!!

Agreed. They played three long sets and were absolutely wonderful and engaged the audience. I'll definitely be at the August show at the Imperial Theatre.

Well actually no, but thanks for the offer. Not that there is anything wrong with that.
