Lewis Sinclair: You should be asking what economic class Bush and Cheney attended...In case you've been in a coma for the past eight years this train was already headed off track long before January 2009.And the tax rate on those making $250k will go up 3%, up to what it was before the Bush tax breaks for the wealthy...And where was your concern with the U.S. COnstitution when Bush went around it?? Matter of fact point to one instance where PBHO has shown a "blatant disregard" for the U.S. Constitution? Would not the fact that judges reset the mortages indicate the issue was part of the U.S. legal process, thus vetted by the fire of the legal process? Hello Lewis! Wake up! Obama came INTO an economic disaster, where the policies of the last eight years obviously didn't work. Do you NOT get it? Giving the rich a free pass the last eight years led to this huge mess. Obama is our only chance to get out of it, and no one should complain since your buddy bush got us all into this huge mess. Also remember the dims have been in control for over 2 years. geithner (the tax cheat) worked with the financial area during those 2 years. During 6 years the dow was high, gas prices low, and unemployment low. Now 'the annointed one' wants to take away the health insurance benefits of military personnel.

Economics is a tough subject to understand but I would more likely blame Congress before I would the President for the problems in the ecomony.

Absolutely convertedsoutherner......Not only were they in charge the last 2 years...which caused people to stop buying stocks when they saw what was coming but also the Dims have much more responsibility for the crashed economy than the Bush administration. The economy plummetted for two reasons. The failure of Fannie and Freddie when people could not pay their mortgages and the sharp rise in fuel prices which caused food and everything else to go up and people could not pay their mortgages because they had to buy food and gas to go to work. The Dims have prevented us from developing our own energy which certainly added the sharp rise in fuel prices. They have obstructed the development of domestic energy in this country for years for the pie in the sky ideal eutopia of solar panels and batteries. And they obstructed Bush and McCain years before the crash when Senators (D) Franks and Dodds lied about the stability of Fannie and Freddie and prevented an investigation that would have exposed their mismanagement and incompetence as the Senators in charge of the committees that oversee these organizations and the fallacy of forcing banks to make loans in minority communities.

PT, I do not really believe Obama does it, but just wanted to throw a smart remark at the the writer. I do believe the ACES is aimed at the lowest common group of people. The ones that bash Obama and supported Bush even when he was proven to be a liar, are usually the least educated people in this nation.

And those of us who bashed Bush as well as are bashing Obowelmovement are the most ignored... not for much longer. Change you can believe in. Yet Obowelmovement continues the same "failed policies" and lies and not one of you sheep are upset. "Be careful what you wish for, you might just get it."

The table was set long ago for economic disaster. While people who don't work do not deserve handouts, those who work certainly deserve a living wage. I wonder if the letter writer is aware that the current ratio of compensation of the average CEO to the average worker is about 275 to 1. Tax cuts under bush created not a single job, except those that went overseas. All the CEO's did with most of thier tax savings was line their own pockets, while a higher percentage of the tax burden was shifted to the poor and middle class. In addition, nonunionized workkers, who already recieve lousy pay, are being squeezed even more, forced to work overtime at regular pay rates, and seeing hours reduced, all so that CEO's and board members can continue to compensate themselves with multi-million dollar salaries and bonuses. The system is obscene, and Reaganomics, not Obama, created the setting for this entirely inhumane and outrageously inequitable set of circumstances. I believe it is responsible, to a large extent, for the mass shootings we have seen for the last twenty years. People are mad as hell and some disturbed individuals are not taking it anymore.

Bush at least had something to show for his spending (other than the bailouts), as he kept you butt safe for eight years. I ain't so sure about the next 4 years, however in that we no longer have "enemny combatants" or a "war on terror" per BimbO Executive order.
