AIKEN, S.C. - Mr. Lenwood Jessie, 65, of 1237 Evans Rd., entered into rest March 14, 2009 at his residence. Funeral arrangements will be announced later. Mr. Jessie was a member of the Old Storm Branch Baptist Church, Clearwater and served on the Board of Deacons and Male Chorus. He also was a member of the Augusta Bowling League. Mr. Jessie was a 1962 graduate of Jefferson High School. Survivors include his wife, Mamie Jessie, Aiken; one daughter, Krystal Lynn Jessie, Aiken; one son, Kelvin Curry, Aiken; two sisters, Dorothy (Hampton) Smith, North Augusta and Valerie Sapp, Thompsonville, Ga.; two brothers, James (Kawanna) Jessie, North Augusta and Calvin Jessie, Aiken; two grandchildren; and a host of other relatives.
