APPLING, Ga. - Mrs. Olive Janette Yelton, 78, wife of the late E. C. Yelton, Sr., entered into rest Sunday, March 15, 2009, at Heartland Hospice, Augusta, GA. Funeral services will be held 2:00PM Tuesday, March 17, 2009, at Believer's Gospel Chapel, Augusta with the Revs. Sam Thorpe and Dan White officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Mrs. Yelton was a native of Warren County, GA. She was a retired piano teacher and homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, E. C. Yelton, Sr. and her parents, Cheatham and Coree Johnson. Survivors include three sons, Eddie C. Yelton, Jr., John 'Lee' (Francis) Yelton and Dan Johnson (Frances) Yelton, all of Appling; one daughter, Donna (Sammy) Y. Groover, Appling; one brother, Tyrus Johnson of Kentucky. Mrs. Yelton is also survived by fourteen grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Sam Groover, Adam Yelton, Pete Knox, Phillip Knox, Cecil Bullard and Daryl Bullard.
