AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mr. John A. Adams, Jr., of Truxton Road, entered into rest Monday, March 9, 2009, at the residence. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 14, 2009, at 2 p.m., at Mt. Zion A.M.E. Zion Church with Rev. Robert Christian officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park. He was a native of Columbus, Miss., a retired Teacher with the Richmond County Board of Education, a member of Mt. Zion A.M.E. Zion Church, a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity and a Mason. Survivors are his wife, Consovella P. Adams; two daughters, Shannan Adams Keys and Dyanna Adams, Augusta; two sons, Jacques (Tabitha) Adams, Loganville, Ga., and Trevor (Tora) Adams, Roysce, Texas; sister, Cora Ann Whitfield, New York; three brothers, Phil West, Ohio, Lonnie Adams, Mobile, Ala., and Edward Moore, Shreveport, La.; three grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.
