Oh, I see, anyone who disagreed with W was insulting him or lying. Anyone against President Obama merely disagrees. I seem to remember television shows being pulled off the air and country music artists being ostracised for disagreeing. "Your either with us or against us." The country gave W a huge honeymoon. He had the opportunity to be great. He was a failure and will go down in history as being the worst President EVER. President Obama did not get a honeymoon nor does he expect or want one. The times are too great for that and he has what it takes to be one of the great ones.

The criticism of GWB and of PBHO are totally different. Through all the differences I don't recall hearing anyone calling for GWB to fail completely!! There was the opposition to the Iraq War, there was opposition to the Patriot Act and there was opposition to torture. 50 days into his first term you got idiots calling for PBHO to FAIL! Fail in everything, fail completely...Now I'm not going to defend all those who disliked GWB, because I found some of the far left ideas unappealing and obsurb, but two wrongs don't make a right...The difference between GWB and PBHO is simple: First, PBHO actually won his election without controversy. That is important because there are still many questions about how the 2000 election was handled, some still got "hanging chad" questions so to speak. Second, when GWB came to Washington he had a balanced budget; PBHO is coming to Washington behind the 8 ball, with a deficit that is the largest ever faced by a president. So to sum it up, if you are hoping PBHO fails already you aren't a traitor, but you speak with a seditious tone...To me that's worse because at least you can spot a traitor; a seditious person is a instigator with no mettle..

The idiots that hope America fails are in the current adminsitration. Actually, they are doing more than hoping, they are taking actions that insure that failure so that we the people lose our freedoms and come to depend on big government. In a 2006 poll, 51% of Dems polled hoped that President Bush Failed. How is that any different? Some Dems even declared the war as being lost before we had a chance to win it.

OK i usually just sit back and laugh at all the idiotic visions people have but now i must respond. People call President Bush as the worst president ever. I seem to remember an incident in Sep 2001 that changed the scope of his presidency. My how soon we forget. I thought President Clinton was a genious until the cigar incident. Did you know that President Clinton pushed the banks along with Fannie and Freddie to lower the credit score standards in order to get a mortgage. Well if people cannot pay their Sears card on time then what makes you think they will be able to pay their mortgage? Then you say well its the banks fault about the adjustable mortgage, well according to law if a person is qualified for a mortgage then they have to give it to them. It is the consumers fault for not knowing the dealings with ARM mortgages. Next question did people cry when they got a rebate check from President Bush? I wonder how many sent them back in protest. Being a strict conservative, i voted for President Obama for the sole reason of getting America back ontop internationally. I strongly feel that we americans need to get off our backsides, and stop waiting for the government to do all.

Motorman, I disagree with your comment that most Republicans want Obama to fail completely. I agree with you comments on the Iraq war. Democrats desparately wanted the U.S. to lose and guarantee a victory in the fall for Obama. Same with the economy, which explains why it started heading south after the 2006 elections. The Democrats knew they would not win the W.H. if the war was going well and the economy remained strong.

I just cannot believe the Dems are so upset that the opposition is actively criticizing Obama. These are the same people that for 8 years frothed and slobbered with absolute hate everytime someone even mentioned Bush's name. They weren't just criticizing, they absolutely hated every breath he took. They were like rabid animals. But now they are upset that Obama is being criticized. Well I too hope he fails. I hope he fails at raising taxes....on anyone...and I certainly am not "rich" and I do not make more than $250K or even $100K. That is because I know no matter who he raises taxes on, I will end up paying it. I hope he fails at socializing medicine. It's been tried all over the world and results in financially breaking the government and the health care gets worse. I hope he fails at implementing more social welfare spending. I hope he fails at tripleing the deficit. I hope he fails at making ACORN a pseudo government sponsored agency. So yes, I hope he fails. That does not mean I want the country to fail. It means that I want a smaller, less intrusive government not a Nancy Pelosi the government runs and pays for everything government. I criticized Bush for some policies too.

It's amazing to me how some folks tell us daily how intelligent they are yet can't understand simple words used bu Rush. For the 9000th time....Rush hoped the policies would fail regarding moving closer to socialism. Reminds me of Clinton. Remember what a hard time he had understanding what is means? Since when did Rush speak for all Rep or Conservatives. too much time is spent on the exact words instead of the intent and context within a speech. Bush, Obama, Clinton, Rush can all be castigated for saying stupid things or things the media take out of context and make a big hoopla. Rush was explicit in stating his problem was not with America but with Obama being a socialist-communist more accurate. Bush was characterized as a Fascist, which clearly he has some traits-just like Obama as a Marxist. The Rep are just as divided as the Dems in fact they seem to be lost. Both Rep and Dem Prez's have been bashed and defended. Same ole song and dance. I just hope we continue to have the right to do so. But most ideologues are closed minded from any new input and just seek information that substantiates their beliefs and claims-this Rush incident proof in point.

Whatever. I remember being called unpatriotic by Republicans for not supporting Bush and not having a flag on both sides of car and hanging from every window of my house. It always goes both ways. I don't think the Dixie Chicks suffered any hardship from Bush bashing and still seem to be outspoken about it. Still popular and successful. I don't see the difference in Rush Obama bashing and the Chicks Bush bashing. Both have been castigated and lauded for it so about par for the course. I just love America is a place that allows such nonsense. I just wish Rush was more like Joe Pyne the chain smoking in your face antagonist of lore-remember his interviews-great stuff.
