AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Geneva "Mama Cat" Jones of Barnes Street entered into rest Thursday, March 5, 2009, at the University Hospital. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 13, 2009, at 1 p.m., at Gilbert Lambuth Chapel (Paine College) with Rev. Dr. Willie R. Rivers officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery. She was a native of Richmond County, Ga., former member of First Day Spring where she was a member of the Deaconess Board, a member of Greater Young Baptist Church and an employee of the Richmond County Board of Education sine 1993. Survivors are her husband, Henry Don Jones; one daughter, Donnita Moody; four sons, Charles (Tara Gilliam) Moody, Henry Don Jones, Jr., Clarence Wesley Jones and Joshua Deon Jones; four sisters, Iola Borum, Juanita Moody, all of Augusta, Roberta Milton, Brooklyn, N.Y, Carol (Allen) Shelton, Savannah, Ga.; nieces, nephews, cousins; goddaughter, Amanda Lizama; dear friend, Donald Sapp; other relatives and friends.
