HUGE RAVE to the gentleman who was driving the Four Leaf Residential Services van who helped a fellow driver move his car out of a busy intersection after it had broken down on Belair Road. Your kind gesture made my day!

HOW IS IT that looser liquor laws would create more drunks and less people at work? Are we seeing this during the other six days we are allowed to make a purchase of alcohol? I didn't think so.

THIS IS A BIG RAVE for the Harlem Public Safety Department and Martinez-Columbia Fire Department. We want to thank you for your very quick response time (two-three minutes) when it looked like our chimney was on fire. You all did a very professional job. We also thank you for taking the extra time to make sure that there were no hot spots or smoldering wood in our attic before you left.

A huge rave to The Augusta Chronicle for the editorial 'Strangled in its cradle.' Sherwin Loudermilk is my hero for saving the J.B. White's building. Please hope that the FDIC eliminates the stranglehold on the lenders waiting in line to invest in this viable project.

OBAMA'S BEEN WRITING checks out in the billions and trillions. It is frightening. He's flying around in that Air Force One, and I don't know if you know but I know what it costs to raise that off the ground. Big dinners at the White House. I realize he's the president, but he's acting more like a king now at the expense of the people.

A rave to Chronicle editorial cartoonist Rick McKee. Keep up the great work, I always look forward to your cartoons.

TO THE PERSON who took a gold colored adjustable metal walking cane from the shopping cart at the North Augusta Wal-Mart on March 3 at noon. I returned to retrieve it within 20 minutes, and it was gone. I am 75 years old and have neuropathy in both feet and can barely walk without my cane. Please turn it in at Wal-Mart customer service.
