The professor is right in his assertion. Limbaugh isn't perfect and his "misspeak" at the PAC meeting was certainly not very professional. His point was well made and those listening to him knew what he was speaking about, but that isn't the assertion. Limbaugh mixed his quotes. Thank you professor Bill. That must be the only mistake he made in his speech since that is the only thing you could find to comment on. I, like you , agree with the rest of the speech.

Yeah, Professor, the misquote made headlines on NBC and on MSNBC Keith Olberman went on and on about it. It was a minor misquote that did not detract from Limbaugh's well publicized speech. On the other hand Obama gets the number of states wrong and most of the media say just a slip. Double standard ya think?

Professor, about your epistemic rhetoric concerns, the point is that it would be wise to examine whether the speaker misspeaks as a momentary lapse or of a flawed intellect. Since the administration wants Obama compared to Limbaugh with his three hours a day of comments, shouldn't we consider the words of Obama in a more critical manner? Limbaugh accepted the challenge from Obama and offerred to debate. That would have given us a chance to compare momentary lapes to flawed basic understandings. I know who my money would be on in such a debate. Limbaugh spoke sans teleprompter at CPAC as he does everyday. Obama needs a teleprompter to wave at the public.

It is important to understand where Prof. Harpine's concern with Rush using the Constitution comes from.
