Frank H. Gearhart (EVANS, Ga.)

EVANS, Ga. - Frank H. Gearhart, age 79, husband of Dorothy Wheatley Gearhart, entered into rest on Tuesday, March 3, 2009 at University Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 6, 2009 at Evans First Baptist Church at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Steve Spencer officiating. Interment will be held in Westover Memorial Park with Full Military Honors. Survivors include, one daughter, Linda Holovack of Evans; two grandchildren, Reagan Powell and her husband, Robert, Hannah Marie Holovack; two great grandchildren, Austin Blake Pidgeon, Carter Anthony Powell, III. Mr. Gearhart was preceded in death by a step son, Michael Parrish. Mr. Gearhart retired from the U.S. Army, he served in the Korean War and Vietnam. He retired from the Medical College of Georgia working as a audio visual supervisor. He was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Evans, where he was a member of the Senior Mens Sunday School Class. Pallbearers will be Donald Senecal, Sandy Beaver, Rodney Cook, Barry Cook, Scott Faulk and Frank Moore. Honorary pallbearers will be the Senior Mens Class and John Baxter, Emmett Faulk, Billy Faulkner, James Scoggins. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Evans First Baptist Church, 515 N.
