GIRARD, Ga. - Gloria Jean Finch Hayman, 60, died Saturday afternoon in Trinity Hospital, Augusta. She was born in Screven County, was a member of the Sardis United Methodist Church, a former Mayor of Girard, was a homemaker, and a retired cosmetologist. She is preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Elbert Hayman; her mother, Myrtis Bennett McMillan; brother, Fred Zeigler and Ken McMillan; and a granddaughter, Ashley Heath. Survivors include: a daughter and son-in-law, Kim Hayman and Steve Reddick, Girard; a son and daughter-in-law, Jamie and Dawn Hayman, Sardis; a sister, Ellie F. Myers, Girard; brothers and sisters-in-law, Willie and Karen Zeigler, Sylvania, Don Lariscy, Sylvania, Ed and Kim McMillan, Sylvania, and Chris and Jan McMillan, Sylvania; grandchildren, Alisha Hayman, Sardis, Brooke Hayman, Sardis, Brittany Reddick, Girard, Trent Reddick, Girard, and Ashlyn Reddick, Girard; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services for Mrs. Hayman will be held Tuesday morning at 11 o'clock at the Thompson- Strickland-Waters Funeral Home Chapel in Sylvania with Rev. Dr. Karen R. Zeigler officiating. Burial will be in the Sardis Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Todd Lane, Chris Cope, Dennie Cope, David Whatley, Charles Whatley, and Will Whatley. Visitation will be held Monday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Thompson-Strickland-Waters Funeral Home of Sylvania is in charge of all arrangements.
