James Earl Hankinson (WARRENVILLE, S.C.)

WARRENVILLE, S.C. - Entered into rest Monday, February 23rd, 2009, Mr. James Earl Hankinson, 81, of Warrenville, SC, beloved husband of the late Margie Gresham Hankinson and son of the late William Eddie and Georgia McKenzie Hankinson. Born in Savannah, GA, he had been an area resident most of his life. He was of the Baptist faith. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. Mr. Hankinson retired from South Carolina Electric & Gas after over thirty years of service. An avid fisherman, he relocated to Lake Murray following his retirement. Family members include daughters, Lawana Purvis, (Carl) North Augusta, SC and Vicky Carter, (Rickey) Graniteville, SC; brother, the late William Harvey Hankinson, grandchildren, Gregg Jackson, (Melanie) Julie Knight, (Brian) and Amy Prosser, (Terry) and great- grandchildren, Cole Jackson, Wyatt Jackson, Ansley Prosser, and Victoria Knight. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Wednesday, February 25th, 2009, at noon at Hatcher Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Langley, SC, with Pastor Milford Oswald officiating. Private interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Graniteville, SC.
