JOHNSTON, S C. - Funeral services for Mrs. Idella Satcher Bodie, age 89, will be held Friday, February 20, at 3pm, at Johnston First Baptist Church with burial to follow in Saluda Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the church at 2pm, prior to the service at 3pm. Memorials may be made to Johnston First Baptist Church, 700 Church Street, Johnston, SC 29832. Mrs. Bodie, a native of Saluda County, died Wednesday, February 18, 2008. She was a daughter of the late Clarence and Ruby Long Satcher. She was a retired retail sales person with Dodd's Department Store, was Past Worthy Matron of the Eastern Star, a member of Johnston First Baptist Church and the Gleaners Sunday School Class. Survivors include two sons: William S. Bodie (Janet) and Jerry W. Bodie (Martha); 7 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren; three special nieces: LuVin McCoig (Roger), Kitty Crumpton (Michael), Vonnie Rutland (Guy); Nephews: Sammie Rhoden (Deborah) and Ray Still.
