Willena M. Evans (LOUISVILLE, Ga.)

LOUISVILLE, Ga. - Mrs. Willena Malone Evans, age 80, died Wednesday afternoon February 18, 2009, in the Jefferson Hospital. Funeral services will be held 2:00PM Friday, February 20, 2009, in the Louisville United Methodist Church with Rev. Beau Taylor and Rev. David Hibberts officiating. Burial will follow in the family plot in the Bartow City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Donald H. Evans, III, Clay McDaniel, Bonner Jones, Johnny J. Jones, Matt Poje, Fred Waters, Charlie Anderson, and Gary Anderson. Mrs. Evans was a daughter of the late Charles Clark and Louise Smith Malone. She taught school for many years at Louisville Academy and the Bartow School. She was a very active member in the Louisville United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir. She was very active in the Art Guild, the United Methodist Women, and the Louisville Coffee Club. She was also an avid painter. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Donald H. Evans, Sr. and is survived by son & daughter-in-law Donald H., Jr. and Debra Evans of Louisville, daughter and son-in-law Louise and Frank Young of Sandersville, two sisters Suzanne M. Jones of Louisville and Diane M. Anderson of Marietta, four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and many friends. The Evans family will be at her residence in Louisville and will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00PM Thursday at the funeral home.
