What do we owe Muslims? Nothing

  • Follow Letters

I agree with other respondents to the letter from a Muslim who thinks America owes the Islamic world an apology ("Here's why we're apologizing to Muslims," Feb. 10).

Muslims owe the world an apology for the thousands of atrocities committed by Muslims in the name of Islam. I am sick of perpetually enraged, supremacist Muslims engaging in grievance theater while waging jihad to spread Islam and establish a worldwide caliphate. I am sick of Muslims persecuting Christians and Jews in Egypt, Turkey, Pakistan, Palestine, Lebanon and throughout the Holy Land, the birthplace of Christianity and Judaism.

Saudi Arabia forbids the practice of any religion but Islam, and forbids its millions of foreign workers to practice their faiths, and Jews are banned from entering Saudi Arabia. Yet they send their rabid Wahabbi clerics to America and around the globe, where Muslims enjoy unfettered freedom to practice Islam, proselytize and build mosques.

Islamic clerics, protected under our First Amendment, promulgate the predatory, intolerant doctrine of Islam, inculcating hatred of America, our culture, our way of life and our government. Muslims are obligated to spread Islam, by force if necessary, seize our wealth, usurp our governments and abolish all other religions. These radical clerics disseminate Islam's doctrine of hate, intolerance, supremacy and imaginary Muslim victimhood throughout the West, while our multicultural, politically correct politicians tell us that Islam is a religion of peace.

Islam is not a religion of peace; it is a bellicose, imperialist doctrine of perpetual war. Nobody should be allowed to promote sedition, rebellion and religious supremacy in America under the guise of freedom of religion, yet it occurs daily in thousands of mosques.

We owe Muslims nothing, least of all an apology. We need a drastic change in our immigration policies, which have become profoundly suicidal.

I hope that we continue to

I hope that we continue to keep the militant muslims at bay. I'd rather see 200,000 of them dead, than to have another attack.

Now why do you suppose the anti-war zealots here are not complaining about President Obama's VERY QUIET order (yesterday) to send 17,000 US troops to Afghanistan? Hmmm.

JIC: I 100% endorse President Obama's move to increase troop strength in Afghanistan. The reason your post is true is because they're still on page 4 of stimulus screwing and haven't got to Saturday's news yet.

All anybody owes anybody is

All anybody owes anybody is to respect their right to live their lives as they seem fit. Now the Muslim hierarchy thats a different story. Thats who should apologize to the muslim world. They've presided now over the greatest wealth infusion ever Yet have established no great universities or institutions worth immulation by the rest of the world. At its base level their leaders seek to return them right to the 7th century. It's their leaders jealousy of the west that drives its animosity towards the west. The west has certainly without a doubt been duplicitous in some of Islams problems particularly the partitioning of their lands into the what are the present day countries without regard to neither ethnic or historic circumstances for this they are owed an apoplogy. But they need to take a hard look at what their present day leaders are espousing and leading them into.

patricia thomas, shut up.

patricia thomas, shut up. all you other racist wackos, instead of militant islamists, try human beings whose lands we (or israel) occupy with our military. they are simply doing what they can to strike back against our aggression. if we took our military out of their lands, stopped supporting israel, they would leave us alone, maybe even trade with us.

well said Signal Always. Weak minded, non-thinking, if it feels good do it liberals, along with the present Prez. administration are already asleep at the watch. This is our greatest threat against this country's security and future. And the Muslims know it.

The treatment of women in

The treatment of women in many Muslim nations troubles me a great deal. I'm not talking about the Taliban-controlled-type nations. I mean the "ordinary" not-so-radical Muslim nations where women are frequently denied the right to vote, drive, go out in public without male supervision, choose their husbands, seek medical care without spousal permission, are denied medical care without spousal permission, are stoned to death for real or imagined infractions, work, initiate divorce proceedings, are denied custody or even access to their children after a divorce is finalized, are legally beaten by husbands and/or male family members, denied the same education as men, jailed for fornication after being raped ... I could go on and on. Yet for some reason I seldom, if ever, hear liberals even casually mention these human rights violations. Liberals claim to be all about women's rights, so I don't get it. Women in America and Israel have these rights. Women in Islamic nations seldom do.

My point is: why would anyone

My point is: why would anyone who supposedly supports equal rights for women show such animosity towards nations (i.e. the USA and Israel) which have laws protecting women's rights, but show such affection and sympathy to nations that have no such laws, and in fact whose governments and (male) people are adamantly opposed to equal rights for women under law?

Turkey does indeed have a

Turkey does indeed have a tenuous secular government protected by its military due to the aggressive reforms of Kemal Ataturk, who established the Republic of Turkey and abolished the caliphate in 1924. The current government in Turkey is pro-Islamic and is trying to bring back many aspects of Shar'ia. Despite its secular government, Islam is the predominant religion in Turkey and Christians and Jews are persecuted there every day of the week.
And to Mr. JohnRandolphetc.etc.---I am not an American "supremacist" and I am delighted that Islamic butchers were enticed by whatever methods necessary to prevent another attack on this country. I pointed out the hypocrisy of Saudi Arabia, blatant as it is, but it apparently went directly over your left-wing, addled brain. If you cannot understand the inimical nature of the "religion" of Islam, I would suggest that you study it for twenty years or so like I have and maybe you would get a clue, but probably not. Self-hating, relativist morons are usually drawn to evil like magnets to metal.

I happen to agree with the

I happen to agree with the LTE--the Muslims owe the US and the world not only an apology, but restitution for damages to property and the loss of innocent lives. And by the way, in the news today, Obama is letting one of the main terrorist to be freed--he's going back to the mid-East so he can concoct another vicious attack on the US and other free nations. So this is justice for Americans? And another 'Honor" killing (Murder in the US) has taken place in New York--why are these people allowed to live here? If they cannot abide by our laws, then they should be deported.
