Cross Creek survived a frantic fourth quarter in which the teams combined to score 43 points.

The Razorbacks closed the third quarter on a 14-4 spree to lead by six heading into the final period. They never trailed from there even though Hephzibah four times sliced their lead to one possession, including to one point with 5.1 seconds left. Blake Bush (16 points) missed a 3-pointer from the right wing in the final seconds that would have forced overtime.

Sixth-seeded Hephzibah beat No. 3 Cross Creek three times during the regular season, twice in the region and once in a holiday tournament.

"They had our number the whole season," said Cross Creek coach Tracey Gamble.

"It means the world to us to make the state tournament, because we invested so much in this."

Aren't the folks at Hephzibah

Aren't the folks at Hephzibah tired of the antics of their beloved coach K. They haven"t made the state tournament in years. The last time they did they were 1 and done. Anywhere else he would have been gone. Didn't they do that to their football coach when when he didn't win. What's so special about special K. He doesn't get along with anyone in the school on the court or his team.
