The Augusta State University's basketball team's biggest fans play during timeouts. Members of the True Blue Jaguars Pep Band know every player's name. They closely watch every home game, and it's their job, with the cheerleaders, to get the team in the spirit. The band is composed of 23 students, two faculty members (married math professors), an ASU alumnus and Dicky Fallin, the director. The pep band practices for an hour each week and then devotes about six hours to every home game.
