Three arrested at Laney-Josey game

Three men were arrested at a basketball game at Josey High School on Friday night.

Brandon Johnson, 18, and Anthony Faulkes, 19, were charged with possession of a gun on school property and possession of marijuana, according to Richmond County jail personnel. Raheem Jenkins, 20, was charged with possession of cocaine with an intent to distribute. All three remained in jail Saturday afternoon.

The arrests occurred at a game between Josey and Laney high schools.

Man is shot in foot by passing motorist

Aiken County deputies were searching Saturday for a car that was used in a drive-by shooting.

According to Aiken County sheriff's Capt. Troy Elwell, Kenneth Jones was walking down McCormick Street in Aiken when he was shot in the foot by a person in a passing vehicle.

Mr. Jones was taken to Aiken Regional Medical Center.

The car is described as a gray or silver Saturn with Clemson stickers on the front.
