AUGUSTA, Ga. - Jewel Perkins Queen, 89, passed away Wednesday, February 11, 2009, at home. She was born in Jenkins County, a retired insurance agent and a member of the Millen United Methodist Church. Survivors include her two daughters, Judy Banks of Chattanooga, TN and Kathy Hernandez of Miami, FL; a son, Maxwell Perkins of Portland, OR; and four grandchildren. Graveside services will be Saturday at 2:00 pm at Magnolia Cemetery in Perkins. Visitation will be immediately following the service. Crowe-Fields Funeral Home of Millen in charge of arrangements.
