Military milestones

The following military announcements have been made:

- Air Force 1st Lt. Cynthia Nogueras , daughter of Col. Pablo and Col. Cindy Nogueras, of Augusta, has been selected as the Outstanding T-6 Texan Student Instructor Pilot of the Year by the 559th Flying Training Squadron at Randolph Air Force Base, San Antonio.

- Army Pvt. Mark A. Davis Jr. , son of Nicole Wiggins, of Augusta, has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia.

- Army Pvt. Shatara M. Odell , a 2008 graduate of Cross Creek High School and daughter of Treva Odell, of Hephzibah, has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia.
