Fannie Mae B. Knowles (AIKEN, S.C.)

AIKEN, S.C. - Entered into rest Tuesday, February 10th, 2009, at her home, Mrs. Fannie Mae B. Knowles, 71, beloved wife of James Knowles and daughter of the late George and Ivonia Day Baughman. Born in and a lifelong resident of Aiken County, SC, she was a homemaker. She was a member of Eureka First Baptist Church. In addition to her husband, family members include her children, Cleveland T. Rains, (Teresa) Graniteville, SC, Virginia 'Jenny' Dunn, (Billy) Graniteville, SC, Laura Lunsford, Aiken, SC, Eddie D. Rains, (Teresa) Trenton, SC, and Theodore 'Teddy' Rains, (Carolyn) Aiken, SC and Kevin Knowles, (Amy) Aiken, SC; brother, Edward Baughman, Aiken, SC; sister, Bessie Sapp, FL; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. At her request, Miss Fannie was cremated and a Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, February 14th, 2009, at 4 o'clock at Old Time Gospel Church, Eureka, SC, with Pastor Roger Bennett and Pastor John Huss officiating. Inurnment will follow in Eureka First Baptist Church Cemetery, Eureka, SC. The family has asked that flowers be omitted and memorials be made to The Cumbee Center to Assist Abused Persons Inc.
