Who among us is left to punish treason?

No one wants to take responsibility. All they want is the share of the money pie and the power to go with it. They careless about Timbuktu and it's residents. It's why there won't be any impeachments. It's why there won't be any trials for treason. But one day the general public will have enough, and folks will remember a different 1917, and the "Czars" will face a similar fate. Seems every 100 years we either have a Revolution or Civil War and 2061 is coming up (and it'll be about the right time, as the kids will have to face this trillion dollar tax bill, and having to pay it back [and Social Security has long been spent, by their Hippie generation "free [insert name]" parents who were so selfish to do all of this]). The worst generation? Will turn out to be these early "Baby Boomers".

Interesting thing about it is that the southern states who by and large decry this as socialism have typically received twice the federal dollars back than they have paid in taxes. In other words, they are welfare states living off the hard work and tax dollars from the north.

Wiretaps and searches without a warrant, (violates 4th Amendment), hold prisoners without charge(violates 6th Amendment), torture (violates 8th Amedment). These were all impeachable offenses, not treason, committed by the past administration, Where was your letter then? Tech makes a good point. Why didn't Rep call Bush on all his spending. I mean it is antithetical to all Rep rhetoric, and the Bush bail out plan wasn't even a plan (and once again against all Rep rhetoric). Makes Bush look like a RINO and the GOP hypocrits. Unfortunately the Dem will continue with more spending and building even a bigger govt than Bush. So in essence they are continuing with the momentum Bush created in spending and larger govt. Odd that Dems hated the spending and increases with Bush but now endorse it with Obama-looks hypocritical.

Want to see "crying like a baby" just watch and listen as this nation falls not just to it's knees but all the way into the graveyard...All that is left is for Pres. Don't accept (or just don't cash) any stimulus check that comes, give back the first one, don't drive on roads that taxpayers money were "redistributed" to build, don't call a taxpayer funded cop or fireman when in need (just have your own private security force paid for by only you), don't use power from the grid since much of the development of the grid ( especially in the south was built by federal works projects, stay out of National and state parks and recreation areas, when of age, don't accept Social Security or Medicare. I guess it depends on how each person interprets the meaning of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution and the "intent" of our forefathers. I for one do not believe it was ever the intent of the framers of the Constitution nor those brave men who risk their lives to draft and publish the Declaration of Independence that this government would come to the situation where it took the money from working people and gave it to people who do not work. Therefore I believe Socialism is unconstitional and could possibly be treason. Why should we have laws that say the people in California have to pay for some crazy woman to have 14 children? We do we have laws that say people can lay up and make babies that other working people have to pay for? That was never the intent of the founders of this country. Treasonous....yes I think so. Socialism has failed in every country that tried and it has broke the economy, ruined medical treatment, and encouraged more people not to work. When you implement a system that will bring a country to it's knees, that IS treason and socialism is that system.

Even if emergent, the warrant could be obtained for up to 72 hours after the fact. Roughly 3,000 people were killed on 9/11. Over 30,000 in the US are killed by guns yearly in the US. I'm sure you support gun rights since it's in the Constitution (forget the "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State..." part). I don't like cherry picking what parts of the Constitution to follow.

Remember the purpose of the militia was not only for protection but also to raise against the govt if it got out of hand. The forefathers feared govt as is evident with the balance of powers, especially a strong central govt. They were also an elitist well-educated lot that also feared giving power to the masses which back then were mostly uneducated. Govt has always been an experiment but at least our govt has had some success and appears to be outlasting the younger communism as an ideal for govt.
