AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Veneller R. Tubman, of Rosier Road, went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, February 7, 2009 at the Medical College of Georgia. Funeral service will be Thursday, February 12, 2009 at 2 p.m. at New Destiny Christian Center with Rev. Angela Hardin officiating. She was a member and deaconess at Life In The River Worship Center. She worked for a short time for the Augusta National Golf Club and the Voter's League. She was a a very loving and caring mother, grandmother, mother-in-law, sister and sister-in-law. She will be deeply missed by those she left to cherish her memory. She was a blessed homemaker and loved her children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Mr. Lester E. Tubman, Sr. Survivors are two sons, Lester E. (Laura) Tubman, Jr., Augusta, Earl D. (Dorothy) Tubman, Sr., Grayson, Ga.; two daughters, Linda T. (Henry Sr.) Palmer, Nancy T. (Gary, Sr.) Reese, both of Augusta; one sister, Stella M. Sapp, Nashville, Tenn.; one brother, Ellis (Carrie) Turner, Sr., Washington D.C.; one sister-in-law, Connie Turner of Washington, D.C.; grandchildren are Marcus Tubman, Sr., Sonya (Kier) Jackson, LeKeisha (Tracy) Hawes, Katria Trumpler, James Harris, Earl D. Tubman, Jr., Brandon Tubman, Alicia Tubman, Gary T. Reese, Jr., Stephen Tubman, Monica (Richard) Curtis, Tuwanna (Grant) Henderson, Eulonda (Earl) Phillips, and Henry (Linda R.) Palmer, Jr.; a special friend, Alexis S. Tubman; two devoted friends, Annie M. Perkins and Vivian Grant; a caring cousin, Patsy Jones; and 17 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
