Thanks for help with runaway dog

Joker the dog is home -- praise God! ("The punchline: Joker returns home," Feb. 4) We said prayers for his safe and healthy return to his beloved family.

I wanted to say "thank you" to The Augusta Chronicle for keeping us all updated on this story, and also thanks to that wonderful man who took time out of his life to help Joker. We live in North Augusta and kept an eye out for Joker, too.

With the help of this newspaper, many concerned animal lovers, and prayer, Joker is with his loving family where he belongs.

To snakeypete, unfortunately

To snakeypete, unfortunately the dog that was spotted behind mellow mushroom was actually a female lab, that ended up getting hit by a car. BUT the great news is that Beverly Hixson (the realtor that helped us find Joker), adopted the dog and she is doing very well. Joker actually scanned about a five mile radius of the accident site, but thank the lord, he did not get hit by a car. Thanks so much for continuing to look for him. He is doing great back with his family and we are so thankful for having him back!

This is good news for both

This is good news for both dogs. My daughter-in-law said she threw a little food to the dog she saw behind Mellow Mushroom.
