AUGUSTA, Ga. - Ms. Alberta Carolyn Adams, of Hunter Street, entered into rest Saturday, January 31, 2009 at the University Hospital. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 7, 2009 at 2 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Richard B. Peoples officiating. Burial will be in Walker Memorial Park. She was a native of Richmond County, Ga. and served as President of Resident Services at Cherry Tree Crossing. Survivors are two daughters, Regina Wright, Chiquita Bennefield, both of Hephzibah; one son, Javarus Bennefield, Augusta; two brothers, Richard (Juanita) Johnson, Hephzibah, Willie James Johnson, Wrightsville, Ga.; adopted aunt, Gloria A. Keaton, Bronx, N.Y.; devoted friend, Dorothy Jones; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; niece and nephew; and a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends.
