GROVETOWN, Ga. - Mr. Eddie Hollows, Jr., 64, husband of Mrs. Peggy Hollows, entered into rest on Wednesday, February 4, 2009, at Heartland Hospice, Augusta, Ga. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 7, 2009, at Grove First Baptist Church with the Reverend Frank Thigpen officiating. Interment will follow in Bellevue Memorial Gardens with Military Honors. Mr. Hollows, a native of Richmond County, was retired from the U.S. Air Force. He had worked at Smith Brothers in Augusta for over 18 years. He was a member of the Grove First Baptist Church and the Brotherhood. Survivors include his wife, Peggy Rice Hollows; his mother, Marjorie Hollows Lane, North Augusta; two sons, Francis Hollows (Jennifer), of Ridgespring, SC, and David Butler, Florida; two daughters, Molly Krzywda (Jay), of Augusta and Cindy Reed (Joey), of Harlem; two brothers, Walter V. Hollows and Leon Hollows, both of North Augusta; three sisters, Anise Copeland, Kennesaw, Ga., Carol Gould, Hephzibah, and Mary Wark, Richmond, Virginia; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Eddie Hollows, Sr., a son, Christopher Hollows, and two brothers, Kenneth Hollows and Charles Hollows. If so desired, memorials may be made to the Grove First Baptist Building Fund, PO Box 236, Grovetown, GA Pallbearers will be Ed Strickland, Chuck Carter, Ron Fairburn, James Newman, Tony LaCount and Danny Quick. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Brotherhood. Friends may call at the residence. Visitation will be held on Friday evening from 7 to 9 PM at Starling Funeral Home, Hwy. 78, Harlem, GA.
