TODAY: The Atlanta Fly Fishing Festival will be held at Gwinnett Center on 6400 Sugarloaf Parkway in Duluth, Ga. Show hours are 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Admission is $10. Kids under 13 admitted free. For more details, call (770) 623-4966 or go to www.castlow.com.

MONDAY: The CSRA Fly Fishers will meet at 7 p.m. at the clubhouse River Island community in Evans. Paul Turner will discuss his recent fishing trip to Belize. Visitors and prospective members are welcome. Visit www.csraflyfishers.org for more information.

FEB. 7: Augusta Aiken Audubon Society will sponsor a field trip to the Brickyard Ponds to look for wintering and resident birds. Members will be looking for the early arrival of Purple Martin scouts as well. Participants should meet at Popeyes restaurant on Walton Way at 9 a.m.

FEB. 10: Mountain bike enthusiasts are invited to attend the Southern Off Road Bicycle Association chapter meeting at 7:30 p.m. upstairs at Nacho Mama's restaurant on Broad Street in Augusta. FEB. 13-15: Georgia Wildlife Federation's Great Outdoors Show will be held at Georgia National Fairgrounds in Perry, Ga., with a turkey calling contest, giant bass tub stocked with native fish, seminars and products, hunter education training classes and many other events. Admission is $8 or $12 for a two-day pass. Kids 12 and under admitted free. Go to www.gwf.org for more details.

FEB. 24, 27 and March 3: The Thurmond Lake Sail & Power Squadron will offer its basic boating course at the McCormick Public Library at 201 Railroad Avenue in McCormick, S.C. Classes are from 2-5 p.m. Advance registration is required. Topics include handling, docking, anchoring, safety, state laws, navigation and more. Cost is $25 per person or $30 per couple.
