GARFIELD, Ga. - Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors announces the death of Patsy Stephens Kent, age 62, of Garfield, GA, on Saturday, January 24, 2009, at the St Joseph Hospital in Savannah, GA after a brief illness. Funeral services are Monday, January 26th, at 11 AM in the United Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Gary Johnson and Elder Lee Chambers officiating. Interment will be in the Hebron Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Garfield, GA The family will receive friends at Durden-Hudson Funeral Home Sunday evening from 6 - 8 PM. Mrs. Kent was a native of Emanuel County, a homemaker and a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of the United Primitive Baptist Church in Swainsboro, GA. and was preceded in death by her parents, Hollis J. and Christine Horton Stephens and sister, Donnell S. Stroud. Survivors include: Her Husband: Bobby C. Kent, Jr., of Garfield; Two Daughters and Sons-In-Law: Karen and Daniel Moxley of Garfield, GA and Kathy and Darrel McClung of Millen, GA; One Sister: Betty S. Johnson of Twin City, GA; One Brother and Sister-In-Law: J. Tyson and Susan Stephens of Swainsboro, GA; 5 Grandchildren: Justin Moxley, Kaitlin Moxley, Ansley Moxley, Joey McClung and Wesley McClung; several nieces and nephews Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to the United Primitive Baptist Church, Swainsboro, GA.
