ATLANTA, Ga. - Minister Mamie Louise Cooper Allen entered into eternal rest on Sunday, January 18, 2009 in Atlanta, Georgia. Visitation will be held at Hudson Mortuary, Wadley, Ga., on Saturday, January 24, 2009 and at Flat Rock Baptist Church in Matthews, Georgia on Monday, January 26, 2009 from 10:00 A.M. -11:00 A.M. The funeral service will follow visitation, at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, January 26, 2009, at Flat Rock Baptist Church with Rev. W.L. Cottrell, officiating and assisted by Pastor R.G. Dent. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Pallbearers are deacons and trustees of Flat Rock Baptist Church. Minister Allen leaves to cherish her memory: two daughters, Mary Allen Huff, Atlanta, Georgia and Deborah Allen (Charles) Turner, Fountain, Colorado; a sister, Julia Cooper Harris, Washington, D.C.; four grandchildren, Pierce William (Rhonda) Huff, Harvey, Louisiana, Mamie Michelle Turner, Charles Turner, Jr., and Devon Turner, Fountain, Colorado; two great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
