Katie Mae Thompson   (GROVETOWN, Ga.)

GROVETOWN, Ga. - Mrs. Katie Mae Thompson of Grovetown, Ga., passed away on Tuesday, January 20, 2009, at Doctors Hospital in Augusta, Ga. Her funeral services will be held on Monday, January 26, 2009, at 2:00 p.m. at St. Luke Baptist Church with Pastor Peggy Zellars officiating. The burial will be in the church cemetery. Her survivors include eight children, Estelle Murray of Grovetown, Ga., Eunice Sapp of Lincolnton, Ga., John (Alejandra) Hill of Germany, Marsha Lockhart of Abbeville, S.C., Gary Lockhart, Jr., Willeen Thompson, Bobbie Thompson all of Macon, Ga., and Patricia (Travis) Statom of Athens, Ga.; one brother, George (Peggy) Davis of Lincolnton, Ga.; 30 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren.
