AUGUSTA, Ga. - Entered into rest Monday, January 19, 2009 at the Medical College of Georgia, Mr. George Eugene Brown of Forest Street. Funeral services will be conducted (today) Saturday, January 24, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. from Antioch Baptist Church, 1454 Florence Street with Reverend K. B. Martin officiating. Interment will be in Southview Cemetery. The remains will lie in state at the church from 2:00 p.m. until the hour of service. The funeral procession will leave from 2951 Dahlia Drive at 2:30 p.m.. Survivors are one daughter, Georgette L. Smith, Augusta; father, George H. Oliver, Augusta; three sisters, LaVerne Y. Brown, Christine (Raymond) Oglesby and Deborah E. Brown; one brother, Jeffery Brown, all of Augusta; half sisters, Betty (Willie) Adams, Joyce L. Oliver, Evonne Oliver, Janet Walker (Joel), Christine (Eugene) Owens and Remille Dailey (Donald); three aunts, Eddie Daniel, Sallie Smith and Lola M. Robinson; a dear friend, Perry Briggs; step daughter and son, Shani Briggs and Roe Briggs, Jr. and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Friends may call, 2951 Dahlia Drive or W. H.
