CLEARWATER, S.C. - Entered into rest Thursday, January 22nd, 2009, Mr. Samuel Donald Johnson, 65, of Clearwater, SC, son of the late Arthur W. and Maude Widener MacDonald. Born in and a lifelong resident of Aiken County, SC, he retired from Graniteville Company. He was of the Pentecostal Holiness faith and prior to his health failing he attended Clearwater Lighthouse. A Vietnam Veteran, he proudly served his country in the United States Army for thirteen years. He is survived by his children, Jamie Turner, (Dustin) Aiken, SC, Samuel Donald Johnson, Jr., Merced, CA, and Sarah Johnson, Aiken, SC; brother, John MacDonald, Gloverville, SC; sister, Joann Miller, (Michael Wayne) Clearwater, SC; grandchildren, Abigail Turner, Ashlynn Johnson, Emily Johnson, and Kally Pinckney and a nephew, Jonathon MacDonald. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, January 24th, 2009, at 2 o'clock at Hatcher Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Langley, SC. Interment will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Bath, SC. Pallbearers will be Dustin Turner, Chris Harter, Wayne Miller, Daniel Turner, Jonathan MacDonald, and Stanley Turner. Friends may call at the home of his daughter Jamie Turner.
